With the new year uppon us, it's time to think back to some of the events that had a profound effect on us. So what were your biggest, most wonderfull, or most life-changing events of 2004? Mine were getting my guide dog Jasmine, being nominated for Homecoming Queen, Junior Banquet with all its fights and planning, and my trips to Ireland and California.

Mine were, in order of their momentous value starting off with the most momentous:
1. Finishing finals on 8th June, and the celebrations and dinner with the tutors in the week immediately after, and then on 14 July, when the results came out, Obtaining my first class honours M.A. in english law with french law from Oxford University.
2. securing a professional training contract for when I finish the bar exams this summer.
3. witnessing England beat the West Indies at The Oval last summer in cricket, to win a record seventh match in a row and complete a clean sweep against the West Indies.
4. Seeing Kelly Holmes achieve her olympic golden double in the 800 and 1500 metres.
5. winning £100 on a bet that France would win the six nations.

well mine were my graduation and all of the events serounding that, seeing a good group of my friends during the summer that I hardly ever see. Radio man moving closer to where I live, then me going to university and moving closer to him again. Taking the chance to fly, and thats all I can think of. I guess it was a busy year for me

My biggest accomplishments were producing/engineering/playing music on three really decent cd's, and playing and producing on another, which was recorded in a studio in New York City. This year, I um...want to visit a foreign country, and getting married would be nice, but not necessarily simultaneously! Lol!

you played on a cd? neat! I want to record a cd someday, but it will probably never happen

I want to record a CD too! What's yours called Krajiel? Anyway as for me, some of my milestones this year were:
Winning an award as "most improved" in voice lessons for getting out of my chest voice and into my head voice, or at least making some progress ther in;
Meeting some new friends at school that I hope to get to know better;
Getting the Principal's Award at the end of eighth grade;
Getting aroudn my new high school;
Working my butt off in all my classes lol;
Meeting some new friends online, you know who you are hehehe;
and that's it for now, in no particular order eheheh.

No no! You guys misunderstand! I have a studio. I play on everyone else's cd's, and mix them and master them, and make money for doing it! Lol! Unless, of course, they're my good friends, then I don't charge, unless they *want* to pay!

Awesome, Krajiel, so what have you been on?

What albums, and such, I mean? That's so cool...

Nobody you would know, Caitlin. It's mostly small-time groups who need a good recording and can't afford to pay the New York or Nashville prices. I can't do as much as nashville, obviously, but I still can give people a darn good product at a reaqsonable cost.

Surviving a very real suicide attempt I was deadly serious and very nearly succeeded however I recieved excellent care. Physically and mentally it took a good few months before I felt strong enough to confront why I'd attempted suicide, and discussing the reasons was deeply painful but now I am happy to say that life is a gift and in spite of the crap this world throws at me I'm happy to be a part of it.

Hmm, 2004 has been a very static year, except in very personal terms which I don't want to discuss. My biggest achievement certainly was to buy my own 1400sqf (140 m&2) house/condo with the money I've made at work over the last two years, getting my manager to recommend my company finances my Series 7 (stock trader) exmaination (to be taken in March this year) as well as partially my MBA degree which I will hopefully start in the fall. To set up a project studio for recording my band's first album (my friend will be overseein it but we wrote the material together, we've recruited a bass player and work is due to start next month) for Kragiel's benefit :) we're using Cakewalk Sonar 4 on an amd-64 computer with a Powercore card for some fx processing. I will be sure to advertize the album once it's been recorded, I promise it'll be good (and yes, I've been hyping it else where on the boars but, hey, if I don't like my own songs how could I ever expect anyone else to like them ), went to Europe 3 times, once to California, numerous times to Texas and Michigan (yes, I can get very good deals with the airlines). :)

Hehe, Charlotte North Carolina my man, if you'll be moving here be sure to let me know. I could never have afforded it in places like New York e.g. I paid approximately 65000 pounds for the place in NYC it would be 5 to 10 times that, easily. :)

The best event 2004? I didn't have to think for a long time until I knew it. The best event were the six weeks I spent in Worcester in Autumn 2004, because I found more friends than I ever had before. I'd even say it's the biggest event for two or three years or more.
